Art Fairs 2015

Art Fairs 2015

This week sees the opening of the third annual Cape Town Art Fair (CTAF) taking place at the V&A Waterfront from 26 February to 1 March. It is a busy weekend in Cape Town with THAT Art Fair, Design Indaba and the Guild Design Fair all happening simultaneously.

Worldart will have stands at both the CTAF 2015 and THAT Art Fair.

At CTAF 2015 we will show new paintings by our four leading and established artists: Gavin Rain, Kilmany-Jo Liversage, Dion Cupido and Khaya Witbooi. They’ve all had recent successful exhibitions and participated in international projects the past year. Their new works are testament to their successful pasts but also introduce new creative approaches. Included too is Catherine Ocholla who had her first solo exhibition with us in 2014. Catherine graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the University of Cape Town in 2007 and is an artist with a future we believe in.

At THAT Art Fair we are exhibiting the work of young artists who promise to be our big names of the future: Claude Chandler (Top 40 finalist at the 2013 SPI Portrait Award), Kimathi Mafafo, Atang Tshikare (winner of the Southern Guild ‘Future Found Award’ for 2014), Ello X Ray Eyes and Rooiwolf.

At CTAF 2015 we will be at Stand B7 and at THAT Art Fair at F03.
