Kevin’s last girl

Kevin’s last girl

You are looking at the beginning of the end of Richard Scott’s iconic Kevin’s Girl series. This is one of the last large paintings featuring this image as it will gradually be phased out over the next few years.

“It is time to let her go. I have painted her in many colours and sizes over the last 4 years. It’s time to put her to bed in the original form of painting and release the prints, as planned” said Richard at his studio as this work was collected by the Worldart Gallery in Cape Town.
A series of 100cm x 200cm paintings titled My Girl and editioned at 20 is planned for release in 2010. After this she will only be available in limited edition print form.

The work above can be viewed daily at the Worldart Gallery in Cape Town from 10am to 5pm weekdays and from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
