Lips like sugar

Lips like sugar

2013 was a good year for Kilmany-Jo Liversage.

With invitations to do public art projects in Washington DC and for the 2013 Venice Biennale completed successfully (view the video for the Venice performance here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKTAbKpxrbs) and two solo exhibitions – one in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg – as well as group show participation in Sydney, scheduled for 2014, things do not seem to be slowing down.

Also good news is the fact that she and Dion Cupido (also exclusively represented by Worldart) are two of three artists who were nominated Bright Young Things in the December 2013 edition of the Art South Africa magazine (to see more, click on the Media tab above).

Pictured above is a fun series of six pop paintings titled Suga, each 100cm X 100cm in size, the last paintings to be released from her studio this year.
