Myths Recreated Exhibition

Myths Recreated Exhibition

Art of Brother presents Myths Recreated, a group exhibition running for 5 days only.

This group exhibition aims to celebrate African myths and storytelling. African myths or folklore tend to reflect societies beliefs and values, but they are still a meaningful part of everyday life.

The myths we chose deal with universal themes, such as the origin of the world and the fate of the individual after death. We selected 7 artists and briefed them to recreate 2 stories that we selected as artworks.

The artists showing works are:
Fuzzy Slippers
Nolan Dennis
Thandiwe Tshabalala
Darren Christian
Russell Abrahams
Karabo Makenna (Art of Brother)
Cobus Engelbrecht (Art of Brother)
