New by Khayalethu Witbooi

Pictured above is the latest painting from Khayalethu Witbooi’s studio. Witbooi combines oil and spray paints to create artworks with which he shares a view of the world from a place few of us know, usually with a strong sense of political and social awareness.
In this painting he used an interpretation of Rubik’s cube to express the fact that it is not women who are complicated, but that it is complicated to be a woman.
