SPATIAL PRACTICES

This will be a busy week for the arts in Johannesburg, primarily due to the Joburg Art Fair taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre, but also because of a few other very exciting art events taking place as part of the Joburg Art Week.

Besides hosting the show titled Hypnotized by Richard Scott at its gallery in Commissioner Street in Johannesburg, Worldart will also participate in an event titled Esikhaleni – Spatial Practices. This event takes place daily from 14 – 16 March at the Afrika Cultural Centre from 10am – 5pm and is endorsed by the organizers of rhe Art Fair as a fringe event… with an edge, of course. Besides the presence of new galleries, there will be an exhibition of installation works by some of South Africa’s top installation artists.
