Worldart gallery is proud to host ‘Late Night, Early Morning’ by Catherine Ocholla. Her exhibition opens next month and will feature a series of paintings of a man who posed nude for her in a bar. Add to this the fact that she is considered by many to be a painter of exceptional talent, and you have an exhibition to look forward to.

‘Late night, early morning’ is a series of oil paintings of a single individual who late one night agreed to pose for me in the nude in a bar. He posed for the images early in the morning before the bar opened. The combination of the immediate environment and the naked flesh created a sense of ‘normality’ – one can imagine walking into the space and seeing this individual sitting in the nude, as if it were a normal day-to-day event,” says Catherine Ocholla.

Catherine Ocholla is a graduate from the Michaelis School of Fine Art and an artist based in Cape Town. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and this is her third solo show at the Worldart gallery.

‘Late night, early mornings’ opens on Thursday 6 October until October 27, 2016.
