WORLDART10 Competition Returns for 2026

The WORLDART10 competition is an annual open call launched in 2023 to give emerging artists a platform and meaningful exposure through WORLDART.

Each year, artists are invited to submit their work, from which ten winners are selected. Their work is then placed where we feel it is best suited, taking into consideration each artist’s style, potential and the opportunities available through WORLDART. Some winners join a group exhibition at the gallery, while others may be featured at one of the art fairs we participate in or receive focused promotion through our social media channels.

All ten winners also receive access to mentorship from the WORLDART team, regardless of which platform their work is ultimately presented on.

Previous WORLDART10 winners include Sichumile Adam, Karen Stewart, Simone Verfaille, Boyce Magandela, Ayola Goxo and Lona Ndzimande.

Entries for the 2026 competition are now open. Artists wishing to participate can submit a PDF catalogue of their work to charl@worldart.co.za or info@worldart.co.za by 31 October.

The ten winners will be announced on Thursday, 19 November, via the WORLDART Instagram page, @worldartgallery.
