JP MEYER
JP MEYER (b. 1960) grew up in the Free State and matriculated in 1978. After military service he joined S.A.A. where he worked as an international flight attendant for 15 years.
“My work is a visual dialogue between contemporary culture, ancient mythologies and the playful energy of comic strips and colouring books. I use the quick-drying properties of acrylic paint to fuel a spontaneous and intuitive painting process from which unexpected narratives and symbols emerge.
